Taping

Taping

Taping is a technique involving adhesive tapes, which are placed in problematic areas and bring benefits such as pain and inflammation reduction lasting one to three days.

The tapes are elastic and allow the skin to breathe while being solid enough to withstand a bath, a shower or a swim. They are available in different colors including skin color.

They reduce pain by constantly signaling the brain, which, according to Gate Control Theory, blocks the pain signal and prevents it from reaching the brain.

Their elastic properties allow the skin to be « lifted » creating undulations which help fluids circulate, reducing inflammation little by little.

Moreover, they can be stretched in such a way that they inhibit the action of a muscle helping it relax.
